To investigate the effect of Acanthopanax Giraldii Harms Var Hispidus Hoo polysaccharides (AGP-I) on the human gastric cancer cell. DNA agarose gel electrophoresis and flow cytometry techniques were adopted. After treatment with AGP-I, apoptotic peaks in cell cycle analysis and DNA ladder on the agarose gel were observed. The results indicate that AGP-1 may inhibit cancer by inducing cancer cell apoptosis.
