To improve the filtrating unit of the dot immunogold filtration assay (DIGFA) to reduce its cost and make it suitable for fieldwork. A thick round filtrating paper disc was made to replace the plastic filtrating box, and their results were compared. The size of the self-made filtrating paper disc was smaller and the cost was lower. The efficacy of antibody examination by our paper disc was the same as that of the usual plastic filtrating box. In some aspects, the round filtrating disc is better than the plastic filtrating box.
