Wrist-driven tlexor-hinge splints enable many C6 quadriplegics to perform a wide variety of activities of daily living. Forty-three percent of the C6 quadriplegics trained at Highland View Hospital continued to use their splints for up to ten years after discharge. Current goals for self-care independence at the C6 level seem valid based on responses to the follow-up study.
