A review on the nutritional and socioeconomic status as prognostic factors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukaemia is presented. It is mentioned that ethnicity is a potential confounding factor, as well as malnutrition. The importance of provision of supplementary food for the child and the family as a part of the total health care, which every child has the right to have, is emphasized.
