Statistics compiled from notifications of abortions performed in Sco tland during the calender year 1970 are presented in 17 tables. Subject breakdowns include: 1) regional, 2) marital status, 3) percentage by month, 4) age, 5) associated sterilizations, 6) social class, 7) ground for termination, 8) period of gestation at termination, 9) method of termination, 10) reported complications, and 11) numbers according to parity. A table giving the number of abortions performed during the quarter ending September 1971 is appended.
