A letter responds to Shouse's article in the August 17 issue concerning a presentation given by one of the writers at the joint Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory/Wellcome Trust Conference on Genome Informatics. The writers claim that the article contained inaccuracies relating to the data analyzed, the results presented, and the attributed collaborators in their work. They offer to set the record straight.
