Temporary stabilization of the elbow using the Zespol fixator for treatment of distal humerus non-union

The paper presents the possibility of using the Zespol fixator in treatment of infected non-unions of the distal humerus. A 34 year old patient with a pseudoarthroses of the distal humerus was treated surgically. The procedure consisted of resection of the pseudoarthroses, application of a spongy bone autograft and a Zespol fixator. The temporary stabilisation of the elbow achieved this way lead to a good result.
