The following is virtually the author's synopsis. The experiments described were designed to provide information on loss due to rebound and to atomisation of liquid sprayed from two types of nozzle tips on surfaces having various absorptive properties. The two tips discharged almost identical amounts of liquid over the same period of time, but at different pressures. The results indicate a considerable range in rates of absorption by different surfaces.
