125 Nili-Ravi X Philippine carabao and Murrah X Philippine carabao buffaloes have been produced in the project so far. The crossbreds grew 42% faster than purebred carabaos up to 24 months of age on small holdings and ranches. The draught performance of the crossbreds was the same as that of the purebreds. Milk yield in the 2 types averaged 1300 and 550 litres per 300 days resp.
