Obtaining a Web presence may seem like a daunting task to many physicians. It's not, however. Because the Internet is quickly becoming the Yellow Pages of the 21st century, physicians without a Web site will not be able to be located by potential patients. This article provides information on six relatively simple and inexpensive methods that can be used to create a Web site, including: a personal Web page through Internet service providers; AMA Physicians Select; Medscape; a dot com biz card through Network Solutions; your own creation of a site; and a site created by a professional Web designer.
