Clinical and paraclinical data obtained on examining 100 hypertensive patients after 2 and 5 yr since onset of vertigo episodes demonstrated the generally benign evolution of these cases which can be considered rough clinical forms of vertebro-basilar insufficiency. Disability to work noted in some of these patients was determined by persistence of vertigo recurrence and by presence of pseudoneurasthenic symptoms, whose cause was primarily the high blood pressure values. A carefully directed medical assistance could contribute to reducing vertigo attacks and the neurasthenic state of anxiety type.
