The analysis of rearrangements in the rhythmic structure of brain electrical activity plays an important role in the study of the central mechanisms of voluntary movements in man. The study of the dynamic processes in EEG accompanying voluntary motor actions is especially informative. Present-day data demonstrate high heterogeneity and multifunctional nature of traditional EEG rhythms, as well as unstable nature and pronounced dynamic processes during the performance of voluntary movements. Therefore, the study of the dynamics of rearrangements in fine rhythmic EEG structure during the performance of various motor tasks holds much promise. Dynamic approach to the analysis of fine rhythmic EEG structure is described, as are the results of its application for the studies of the processes of sensorimotor integration.
