The more pronounced lateralization of the amplitudes of the negative waves N1 and N2 contralaterally and centrally found only at movements of the right hand of right-handers indicates that the principle of lateral hemisphere interaction is maintained in contradistinction to movements of their left hand. At the absence of lateralization of the amplitudes of these potentials centrally in left-handers the electrophysiologic correlate of weakening hemisphere interaction is observed in motor behavior according to the criterion of the leading and cooperating function. Their amplitude symmetry in parietal regions, independent of the side of the active limb, suggests a bilateral organization of movement parietally, contrary to the predominantly lateralized organization of the motor cortex. The prevalence of negative changes centrally compared to parietal regions is the manifestation of the degree of activation of central motor regions during voluntary movement. The slower decrease of the negative potential gradient posteriorly, compared to the rapid decrease anteriorly, is associated with the close interaction of the central and parietal regions.
