A procedure has been described for the separation, quantitation and identification of mixtures of LSD and STP (DOM), utilizing column chromatography for the separation of the two bases and ultraviolet spectrophotometry for quantitation. The identity of the substances was confirmed by thin-layer chromatography for LSD and infrared spectrophotometry for STP. Recoveries of known amounts of LSD and STP by this procedure are given.
