Accessible knowledge about the effectiveness of homoeopathic therapy

The effectiveness of homoeopathic remedies has always been debatable (e.g. (1, 2)). There are two parties discussing the matter: the supporters, who claim a big number of successes in therapy, and their antagonists, who refuse homoeopathy as being non-scientific. The question of the effectiveness of homoeopathic high dilutions is discussed very enthusiastically. Homoeopathy is surely an important curing option for the observed successes. These successes should not be ruined by crusades among the parties. On the contrary, an unprejudiced discussion is needed. This article demonstrates two theses which only appear superficially to be contradictions: 1. Homoeopathic therapy is effective. This holds true for high dilutions, too. 2. It is impossible to prove the effectiveness of homoeopathic high dilutions.
