Readers reply to Andrew Lawler's article "Privatized Cancer Journal Triggers Senate Reaction," which appeared in the June 6 issue. The impact of the change of ownership of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, which is now held by Oxford University Press, on its availability is examined. The fact that it is no longer given free to the Government Printing Office for distribution to libraries is also discussed.
