The author examines the importance of demographic analyses and projections in the advancement of a well-developed Socialist society. The formulation of policies such as the encouragement of labor force relocation in an attempt to attain high labor force participation in Czechoslovakia is examined. Differences in population trends between the Czech and Slovak Socialist Republics and between regions within the republics are investigated (SUMMARY IN ENG, RUS)
