Voice and speech rehabilitation after laryngectomy can be conservative and surgical. The basic features of conservative methods are discussed. Satisfactory results after a rehabilitation procedure may be expected only by the proper knowledge of all rehabilitation methods, and by using a selective indication for each individual case.
