The ultrasonic suction dissectors are a new kind of surgical instruments. Their most interesting property is to be able of an elective disruption of parenchymas preserving fibrous structures and blood vessels. They are particularly use/till for hepatic and neurosurgery. Among these devices the Surgitron is based on the piezo-electric phenomenon and the subject of the picture is a new utilization of this apparatus for performing the pelvic node dissection indicated for uterine cancer. It is shown that the dissection of the lymphatic chains is very easy and sale towards the iliac vein and artery; the blood loss is reduced. The authors think using this ultrasonic dissector is an improvement of the surgical technique.
