New data on the polarization-optical properties of the crystalline lens

Questions concerning correlation of polarization-optic properties of separate lenticular fibers and a whole crystalline lens in norm and pathology have been studied an 15 crystalline lenses of man. It is established that the optic axis of the lenticellar fiber turns over by 90 grades in the area of the equator. The lens is shown to be a heterogeneous optically active medium consisting of two halts which revolve the plane of polarization in opposite directions.
