The authors report two cases of transient, episodic Kliiver-Bucy-like syndrome. These reactions occurred on various neuroleptics and were not controlled by increasing the dosage of neuroleptics. The episodes were transient and highly dramatic (they were thought to be hysterical at first but were unresponsive to a placebo injection). Their onset was acute, and the symptoms could be controlled with im antiparkinson agents.
