Isolated hepatocytes are able to intercept the slightest changes in environmental oxygen concentration. This process is accompanied by the development of a complex phasic dependence of ATP on partial oxygen pressure. This dependence differs in the cells of animals with low and high resistance to hypoxia. The stability and resistance of the energy-synthesizing function to oxygen deficiency is higher in animals with the high resistance. After long-term rat adaptation to function in hepatocytes of animals of the two different types.
