Exptl. pneumonia produced in 8 rabbits by the intratracheal adm. of a 0.2% soln. of AgNO3 produced diminution in the excretory function of the animals' livers. The galactose test became weakly positive and the detoxifying function of the liver, as measured by the formation of rhodanates, was depressed.
