Scanning photomacrography is a technique which pushes photography to its outer limits, giving fascinating results. In addition, its method of image formation has some direct correlations to computer imaging. With high resolution computer images at hand for microcomputers, I visualize using the scanning technique to obtain results we could not have dreamed of a few years ago. Photographic techniques along with high resolution electronic imagery represents a challenging combination. In the meantime, nearly every new scanning photograph breaks another barrier. That's certainly exciting enough for now.
