Lifestyles of 580 paramedical workers and members of their families (2114 persons altogether) have been analyzed in the questionnaire and interview survey. Social and demographic characteristics of the families have been studied, i.e., their average size, social and sex structure, living conditions and income. Some aspects of their mode of life are examined, such as utilization of free time, harmful habits, physical activity, etc. The findings indicate that lifestyles of the paramedical staff are rather unhealthy. The necessity of promoting healthy lifestyles primarily among medical workers is emphasized.
