The present and future of bradykinin antagonists

It is now just a decade since the first evidence was obtained for bradykinin antagonists effective on most systems (B-2 antagonists). During that decade antagonists have been used to elucidate roles for kinins in physiology and pathophysiology, and are now in clinical trials. Some of these developments, as well as prospects for future developments, are reviewed.
