From experiments on sandy soil with various forms of N, P, and K, including farmyard manure, it is concluded that the grass requires about 300 lb. superphosphate, 100 lb. muriate of potash, and up to 1000 lb. sulphate of ammonia per acre per annum in order to remain productive and to give a high protein yield.
