Average annual intakes of protein by polar explorers at the Soviet Antarctic stations, Molodezhnaya on the 9th expedition, Vostok on the 9th expedition, Mirnyi on the 10th expedition and Molodezhnaya on the 13th expedition, were 132, 132, 128 and 142 g; corresponding values for fat were 171, 204, 129 and 170 g, for carbohydrates 371, 690, 508 and 570 g, and for energy 3539, 5384, 3858 and 4472 kcal.
