A single total exposure of guinea pigs and white rats to microwaves of 60 mw/cm-2 (2375 mH) for 10 min causes vascular changes in different parts of the visual analyzer which is the evidence of focal damages to all the ultrastructural components of hematoencephalic barrier, less significant adaptive changes of the hematoretinal barrier considerably determining a various extent of alteration and reparation of the nerve tissue in the retina and visual centres.
