Since September, 1975, the Journal has been publishing a series of articles describing how health has played a significant part in the shaping of international political events and history. Nowhere, perhaps, did health have more of an impact than in the history of the Second World War. Several of the major leaders -both those of the Allied and Axis powers-suffered from various illnesses: i.e., Roosevelt, Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini, to name but a few.
