Tests were carried out on 81 foxes, 5 sheep, 4 deer, 4 cats, 3 martens, a dog, a cow and a horse. The cornea test, which is reliable in the living patient, was unreliable in deteriorated material. Immunofluorescent examination of the nasal mucosa was not as effective as the corneal test, but demonstrated the establishment and multiplication of virus in the nasal mucosa. The mouth test was difficult and unreliable.
