Experience with a new aminoglucoside antibiotic in pediatric practice

A new aminoglucoside antibiotic has been tested in 21 pediatric patients suffering from acute febrile diseases of the respiratory organs. In all these cases the drug had a rapid positive effect. Side effects or signs of local or general intolerance were not found in any of the patients. On the basis of this experience a decidedly favorable judgment is arrived at as far as the introduction of the agent in pediatric practice is concerned.
