Growth of 62 term infants with birthweights above 2.5 kg and exclusively breast fed was measured from birth until 6 months old. Bodyweight was 3.89, 4.81, 5.76, 6.41, 7.00 and 7.70 kg at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 months. The boys were heavier than the girls. Maternal parity and education had no effect on growth. The results were comparable to Harvard standards and to the high-income, group-growth study from Delhi.
