Contudo, para que essas conquistas no campo científico se transfiram adequadamente à sociedade como um todo e ao indivíduo como alvo maior, é necessário que os profissionais de saúde envolvidos com problemas de doenças cardiovasculares, a nível coletivo e individual, conscientizemse do seu importante papel como elementos difusores desses conhecimentos, para que mais facilmente sejam vencidas as barreiras culturais que dificultam a implantação da mentalidade preventiva no cuidado atual à saúde.
