We describe the successful management of a 28-year-old female with Wilson's disease who developed gestational pre-eclamptic hypertension (GPH) during pregnancy and who required an urgent cesarean delivery. We discuss the rationale of using magnesium sulphate prior to induction and the importance of adequate monitoring is selecting an anaesthetic technique based on the pathophysiology of the disease.
