Cumulative toxicity of lead arsenate in phenothiazine given to sheep

Two groups of 5 sheep were given lead arsenate (mixed with phenothiazine) each month for 11 months at 22 mg. per kg. body-weight (recommended therapeutic dose against cestodes) or at 44 mg. per kg. All the animals survived. 3 of 4 sheep given 88 mg. per kg. died within 24 hours of the 7th treatment and the remaining animal died after the 10th treatment. D.A.Cz.
