Data were presented on the seasonal features of serotonin metabolism in the pineal gland during thyroid hormone deficiency caused by thyroidectomy. The experiment was conducted with sexually mature rats in the summer and winter. Seasonal differences in the influence of thyroid hormones on indol metabolism in the pineal gland may be due to the rhythms of the sensitivity of the target origin, which is for thyroid hormones in this case the pineal gland.
