A comprehensive analysis of cellular immune status was studied in gastric and duodenal ulcer patients with varying levels of gastric acid production. The level of gastric acid production, total blood lymphocytes, lymphocyte functional activity, and lymphocyte enzyme activity were determined in 60 peptic ulcer patients. Based on the study no relationship between the change in lymphocyte count and the level of gastric juice was observed.
