Amendments to the Milk Products Ordinance, Cheese Ordinance, Butter Ordinance and Public Health Ordinance on Farm Sales of Milk

The text is given of an Ordinance of the German Federal Minister of Nutrition, Agriculture and Forestry and the Federal Minister for Youth, the Family and Health, dated 13 Aug. 1979 (Bundesgesetzblatt I, p. 1455). The Ordinance makes numerous amendments to the Milk Products Ordinance of 15 July 1970 [DSA 32, 5214], as last amended on 20 Dec. 1977, and to the Cheese Ordinance in the version published on 19 Feb. 1976, also last amended on 20 Dec. 1977. A few minor amendments are also made to the Butter Ordinance in the version published on 10 Aug. 1970, as last amended on 8 Aug. 1977 [DSA 41, 3733], and to the Public Health Ordinance of 24 May 1973 on Farm Sales of Milk [DSA 36, 1479], amended on 16 May 1975. Together with the new Ordinance another text is reproduced on page 42, viz. the Guidelines of the German Federal Food Law Association concerning fruit preparations for manufacture of dairy products and the designations of fruit yoghurt products (Schriftenreihe des Bundes fur Lebensmittelrecht und Lebensmittelkunde, No. 91). These Guidelines, dated Aug. 1979, lay down requirements concerning the composition and evaluation of fruit preparations intended for use in dairy product manufacture, and specify the conditions under which a product is designated as "fruit yoghurt", "yoghurt with fruit preparation" and "yoghurt with fruit flavour", resp.
