Among other things, this Niger Constitution guarantees to citizens all the rights and liberties recognized in the National Charter, in particular, freedom of movement and residence and the rights to education and health. It also provides that all citizens of Niger, both male and female, who have reached the age of majority have the right to vote and that all persons, without any distinction of sex, are to be equal before the law.
