Misdiagnosis of intraspinal lesions in childhood

Three children with intraspinal mass lesions in whom the diagnoses was initially missed are described. Their case histories highlight the specific clinical features of and diagnostic difficulties with the syndromes produced by lesions of the craniocervical junction, the mid-thoracic spinal cord and the cauda equina.
