The Court held that, under Section 14 of the Hindu Succession Act, a Hindu wife who receives from her husband land in lieu of maintenance and enjoys the produce from such land obtains absolute right to the land. It ruled against the plaintiffs who had purchased such land from the husband and tried to restrain the husband and wife from interfering with it.
