Efficacy of tetrazolium stained antigen over haematoxylin stained antigen, and the comparative use of different methods of milk testing for brucellosis were studied. Anti-Brucella abortus serum was added in varying c one n. to l-ml aliquots of ABR-negative milk. The milk was then examined by ABR, capillary tube agglutination, and centrifugation tests, using tetrazolium- or haematoxylin-stained antigen. Results showed tetrazolium-stained antigen to be superior to haematoxylin-stained antigen, and the centrifugation method to be the most sensitive of the 3 tests for detection of Brucella, antibodies.
