This paper discusses pollution problems in northern Oklahoma, with 20 photographs. A salt water pit, a basic sediment pit and a contaminated well were analysed for total dissolved solids (chlorides, sulfates, carbonates, bicarbonates and nitrates of sodium, calcium and magnesium). The levels were 6, 750, 56, 000 and 2, 060 ppm, compared with values for uncontaminated water of 450-650 ppm.
