Clinical evaluation of Evicrol composite material for filling dental defects

The use and clinical effects of the composite material Evicrol were described. Observations of 67 fillings in carietic defects of different classes and in cases of atypical erosions, enamel hypoplasia and crown fractures, were made during 18 mo. A good maintenance of the fillings was usually found. In 19 cases a color change was observed in the filling, in 3 cases the fillings fell out from class IV defects and in 4 cases they crumbled off slightly. Secondary caries were never observed. The advantages and disadvantages of Evicrol are discussed and suggestions are made concerning changes in the color spectrum and in packing the material.
