Changes in family life patterns in Poland in the period 1945-1985 are analyzed, including changes in educational levels, occupations, and living conditions. The author notes that socioeconomic development has resulted in full employment, the shift of population from rural to urban areas, and other demographic changes. Changes in the family and household include a reduction in size and the confirmation of the nuclear family as the almost universal family type. (SUMMARY IN ENG AND RUS)
