In screening tests with leaves of 15 higher plants, those of peach completely inhibited mycelial growth of Aspergillus flavus. The active fraction was isolated as an essential oil, fungistatic at 0.1% and with a broad antifungal range. The oil was non-phytotoxic to seed germination and seedling growth of wheat.
