Physiological and clinical results of cranial electrostimulation [CES] were studied in 55 patients with the initial state of essential hypertension. CES exhibited high therapeutic effectiveness in patients with mild and moderate arterial hypertension combined with signs of psychoautonomic dysfunction. Possible mechanisms of CES were discussed.
