Recommendations on breastfeeding promotion among pediatricians

Pediatricians often have to treat the severely ill child whose symptoms could have been prevented by exclusive breastfeeding. Nevertheless quite a few pediatricians continue to pass on inappropriate advice on breastfeeding or lack the commitment to its promotion. This paper lists the obstacles that were encountered in breastfeeding promotion among pediatricians in India and gives 17 recommendations for overcoming them.
