This paper deals with Laparoscopic Sterilization Programme in Karnataka. This paper analyses the trends, characteristics of acceptors, people's perception and complication with regard to Laparoscopy. About 149 laparoscopic tubectomy acceptors were interviewed to know their perceptions and complications. The preference for accepting the method is mainly due to no hospitalisation, less time for resuming normal activites etc. The declining trend in laparoscopic tubectomy which may be due to failure of operations resulting in conceptions which have to be tackled more effectively if the programme is to be made successful.
